Ron Santiago de Cuba's Extra Añejo Gran Reserva 20 Años is a rum built on time and place — so the images had to carry Havana with them. The catch: for this shoot, Havana had to be built in Madrid.
The brief was to evoke a Caribbean balcony — warm light, sea air, the unhurried feel of the islands — entirely from a location far from it. Photography and video, captured across a single day, that had to feel like somewhere else entirely.
The approach
Everything served the illusion of place. We directed light, setting and styling to recreate that Havana-balcony warmth — golden tones, soft depth, the bottle and its signature glass framed like the centerpiece of a slow afternoon.
Stills and motion were shot together in one day, sharing the same language so they'd cut together seamlessly. The goal was atmosphere over product-shot literalness: make the rum feel like an experience and a place, not just an object on a table.

The result
The footage became part of Ron Santiago de Cuba's official campaign — the clips cut into the brand's main film — and the photography of the bottle and its signature glass lives on the product's own website.
A single day's work that traveled into the brand's official communication, on screen and online. Proof that the right light and direction can carry a place with them — a Havana afternoon, convincingly staged a continent away.
