Personal Care

A new venture had begun making natural, handcrafted soaps and needed an identity to match the product: something fresh and crafted, ready to stand out in a competitive personal-care market.
The brand was just starting, but the intent was clear — a name and packaging that could feel premium from day one, signaling quality and natural origin without saying a word. The work was to give a promising product the identity it deserved.

The approach
It started with the name. "Kaoli" was drawn from Hawaiian roots tied to the artisanal and the natural — a fitting source for a brand built on handcraft and clean ingredients, condensed into one soft, memorable word.
From there we built a system around contrast: a neutral, restrained logotype set against vivid, colorful packaging, one bold tone per product. The neutral mark keeps the brand grounded and premium; the color does the talking, making the range instantly recognizable on a shelf and easy to extend as it grows.
The name
The name carries the whole story. Inspired by Hawaiian words for craft and nature, "Kaoli" evokes freshness and origin before you ever read the label.
It's short, soft and easy to say in any language — built to travel beyond its home market. A name that sounds natural and crafted at once, setting the tone for everything the packaging then makes visible.

The result
Kaoli came away with a complete foundation — a name, a logo and a flexible packaging system — that makes a young, handcrafted product look like an established brand.
A neutral identity anchored by a confident color system: a range that reads as fresh and premium across every variant, and a foundation ready to grow with the line. Proof that a brand just starting out can still look like it belongs on the shelf next to the best.
